About this project

Mippi animated three retro spots for Psiphon’s Speed Boost, where a PsiCash coin turns a bicycle into a moped or straps rockets to a rollerblader. We also animated an additional spot in the same style to introduce Bump. Four videos in total, from Rack and Pinion’s creative direction.

  • Psiphon VPN keeps people connected to the open internet, whatever network they are on. Open source, free to use and relied on by millions every day. Speed Boost lets users spend PsiCash, Psiphon’s in-app currency, to lift speed limits for lightning-fast browsing while privacy and security stay protected. The brief was four videos: three promoting PsiCash, and a fourth introducing Psiphon Bump, a new feature that gets users connected faster by sharing connection parameters wirelessly over NFC.

  • Retro, funky animation with plenty of energy. Characters start on slow, analog ways of getting around, then morph into something far more efficient, a level up that shows what Speed Boost does.
